SpaceXSI Bundles Grok, Cursor and X Premium Into One Plan

SpaceXSI, the AI unit of SpaceX that Musk said on October 4 would be renamed from SpaceXAI, has launched one subscription that combines Grok, the Cursor coding tool and X Premium. It is called The X Subscription, and the company announced it on X on Monday, October 12. Plans run from free to $200 a month.

The plans

The free plan gives daily Grok access and a starter allowance for Cursor’s coding agents. Plus costs $8 a month and does not include Grok Bot, the company’s AI agent app. Premium costs $30 a month, or $300 a year, with four times the Plus usage. Super costs $100 with 15 times the Plus usage, and Ultra costs $200 with 50 times. Grok Bot comes with Premium and above. All paid plans share one weekly usage pool across Grok and Cursor, and third-party models inside Cursor are billed separately at list prices.

The company says Premium covers what SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+ cost separately, which it puts at about $90 a month combined.

Switching

New customers can sign up now, and the plans are rolling out worldwide over the next few days. Current SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium subscribers do not have to switch. Those who do get a prorated refund for unused time on the old plan, and the company says the switch is permanent.

What is not clear

Tesla added Grok Bot to its cars last month, at first only for the top-tier SuperGrok Heavy subscribers. We have not seen either company say how the new plans change in-car access. We covered what Grok Bot can do in Musk Says Grok Bot Can Order for You From a Photo of Your Card.

Our take: a bundle is a price change dressed up as a feature. The $90 comparison comes from the company, and the real value depends on the usage limits, which Grok and Cursor now share. Someone who codes heavily may use up the pool that chat needs. The test is whether the plan you would actually pick costs less than what you pay today.
